
USS Samuel Gompers 2010 Reunion Plan of the Week
A copy of the official program will be included in your check in package.

A check in table will be located at the entry to the Hospitality Room which is the Carson, Truckee, Tahoe Rooms. The Hospitality Room will be a place for you to kick back and enjoy a beverage and a sea story or two, meet up with friends, and look through some old cruise books and photo albums.
We will begin early bird check in at 1900 hours on Thursday, September 30, and will continue with check ins until everyone is checked in. Be sure to stop by to pick up your nametag and Gompers Gift Bag.
Please bring your Cruise Books, Photo Albums, and other memorabilia to set up on the display tables we will have in the Hospitality Room. We will be manning the Hospitality Room at all times while it is open and it will be locked at all other times to ensure your items are secure.
Raffle tickets will be on sale in the Meeting Space.
1700 - 1900 Hours: Reunion Committee Members and Early Birds Dinner Meet Up (optional, meet us at the Hospitality Room by 1700 hours if you want to go) Hospitality Room CLOSED
1900 - 2300 Hours: Hospitality Room Open for Reunion Check In and Welcome Package, Drinks and Snacks
0800 - 1200 Hours: Check In and Welcome Packages, Meet and Greet, Coffee
and doughnuts will be on hand.
1200 - 1300 Hours: Lunch on your own. Hospitality Room CLOSED.
1300 - 1700 Hours: Check In and Welcome Packages continue, Snacks and Drinks
1500 - 1700 Hours: Representative from the Fleet Reserve Association Presentation

1700 - 1900 Hours: Dinner on your own, Hospitality Room CLOSED
1900 - 2300 Hours: Hospitality Room OPEN, Cocktails, Slide

Topics on the Agenda include 2012 Reunion, the future of the
Crewmembers Association, adoption of By-Laws, this meeting
is optional and open to anyone who served aboard the USS

1630 - 1800 Hours: Hospitality Room CLOSED
1730 - 1800 Hours Group Photo, location to be announced. The Photographer will be on hand to take group and individual photos before the Banquet (time to be determined.) The photos will be printed on site and available for you to purchase.
1800 - 2200 Hours: Banquet Dinner in the Circus Circus Mandalay "A" Ballroom. Dress Code is Dressy Casual to Semi-Formal, Raffle Drawing
2200 - 2400 Hours: Hospitality Room OPEN for Cocktails,
0700 - 0900 Hours: Continental Breakfast* in the Hospitality Room.
0800 - 0830 Hours: Non-Denominational Memorial Service in the Hospitality Room.
0900 - 1500 Hours: Virginia City Tour (optional)
0900 - 1200 Hours: Hospitality Room OPEN
1200 - 1300 Hours: Lunch on your own. Hospitality Room CLOSED
1300 - 1700 Hours: Hospitality Room OPEN
1700 - 1900 Hours: Dinner on your own. Hospitality Room CLOSED
1900 - 2300 Hours: Cocktails and Farewell Ceremony in the Hospitality Room
2300 - 2400 Hours: "Sweepers, Sweepers, man your brooms. Give the ship a clean sweep down both fore and aft! Sweep down all lower decks, ladder wells and passageways! Dump all garbage clear of the fantail! Now sweepers."
0800 - 0900 Hours: Farewell Breakfast Get Together (optional meet us in the Hospitality Room by 0800 if you want to go)
1100 Hours: Hotel Checkout Time
The Continental Breakfast in the Meeting Space is included in the room rate of those who used the USS Samuel Gompers Circus Circus Hotel Registration Form to reserve their rooms. It is not included in the $52.00 charge to attend the Banquet. If you would like to add the Continental Breakfast contact Mary Snider at mary@samuelgompersreunion.org for further info.
These plans are tenative...we will firm up the POD as we get closer to the Reunion.
